Our Mission Statement is as follows:
“We are Maltings Tutorial College, a college dedicated to helping post-primary school students to reach their potential in their pursuit of education. We offer our students revision classes and tutorial classes aimed at the Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations, and we cater for both higher and ordinary level courses in all subject areas. Our aim is to develop within our students a desire to learn and to equip our students with the knowledge, skills and abilities that they require in order to maximise their own learning as they develop along their educational journey. Our focus is on student centred learning which empowers our students to take responsibility for maximising their own learning.
We also offer our students support services such as care guidance and a personalised timetabling service with the aim being to help them to effectively manage their time. This in turn helps them to manage stress before and during examination times. In this way we encourage our students and their parents to look after their wellbeing during what is often a very stressful experience for many students. By doing this we also facilitate the holistic development of our students in the form of personal and social development, as well as clear academic development through our classes.
Assessment is an important part of our operations, and our students undergo both summative and formative assessment throughout their time at Maltings Tutorial College, which enables them to reach their potential and prepares them to the highest standard possible for the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate examinations. We cater for students of all abilities and we actively encourage students from first year through to sixth year to attend our classes.”
