Junior Cert Exam Preparation

At Maltings Tutorial College, we understand the importance of the Junior Certificate examinations. The recent reform of the Junior Certificate indicate that the Irish Government and the various educational stakeholders believe in it too. The Junior Certificate is the launchpad for the Leaving Certificate. In most subject areas, the knowledge that forms the foundation of Leaving Certificate subjects is formed at the Junior Certificate stage. Therefore a good Junior Certificate allows the student to enter the Senior Cycle confident in his/her ability in the relevant subject area.

All of our courses are designed to help our students to reach their potential in the Junior Certificate examinations. We cater for all abilities and we deliver Higher Level and Ordinary Level courses in each subject area.

We offer expert revision classes and tutorials, but we also offer study tips and we help our students to design their own personalised study timetable which suits their lifestyle and their own hobbies/interests so that they have the opportunity to maintain a healthy study-life balance which is of the utmost importance for any student.

We also provide our students with comprehensive notes and study tips, as well as helping them to formulate their own study plan to suit their own individual needs.

Our objective is to help our Junior Certificate students manage their stress and to become familiar with the exam papers, which will allow them to develop confidence in their own competency to sit the exams in June. We also encourage First and Second Year students to attend our tutorials and revision classes, so that they can  be prepared to tackle their first set of major exams at the end of Third Year.
